The Hunger Games

Early in the school year I read The Hunger Games.  This book is about Katniss Everdeen, girl from district 12. Her father was the family hunter, and he taught her how to use a bow n' arrow to hunt for animals in the woods to feed the family, her and Gale (Katniss had a huge crush on Gale) where hunting partners and both of them supported each others families. Hunting in the woods is illegal, but and easy way to get food because it cost so much. Her dad had worked in the mines that was his job, but something horrible happened then. Something that would change the Everdeen families life. And then something more horrible happened(just saying but this families luck on a scale is 0 out of 100).

The Capitol is full of rich people and controls the 12 districts. They entertan themselfs by picking a boy and a girl from each district of the 12 districts and make them fight to the death with only one winner(this is like there Americian Idol, but if you lose you don't simply sing, you harshly die).

Hunger games.jpgIf you like blood and nerve wrecking stuff with a side of love then this is the book to order up for dinner. I thought this was one of those "Son, we have to go to your baseball game blah blah blah." And then I say "Come on can't I just finish my book I only have 100 more pages left." This was a very good book and I recommend it to all.

A Little About Me

My name is Joey, and I'm your everyday 6th grader. There's one thing you might be surpised about me, I love reading. My favorite genre is R.F., Realistic Fiction. But I'm not a huge Non-Fiction Dude.  I like Non-Fiction when it gives you little facts in it or things like The Magic Tree House Series. That's what got me hooked into reading. I love writing also. But what I don't like about writing is the spelling. One thing you need to know about me is that I can't spell for my life. I don't like the words to or too but two is easy because all it is is 2.

Well here are a few books I'm starting of the summer with : Okay For Now, A Tale Dark & Grimm and Milo.
And that's a little about me.
